We work hard to ensure our initiatives are accessible, inclusive and user-friendly. We continuously refine our offerings and welcome feedback regarding ways we can improve.

Website Accessibility Features

Our website incorporates accessibility features to enhance user experience:

  • Alt Text: We provide alternative text descriptions (alt text) for all images on our website, ensuring that screen readers can convey the content to users with visual impairments.

  • Keyboard Navigation: Our website can be navigated using keyboard shortcuts and tab keys, enabling users to rely on keyboard navigation to access interactive elements.

  • Colour Contrast: The contrast between text and background is enhanced, making it easier for low-vision users to read.

  • Resizable Fonts: The AccessBe widget allows users to adjust the font size of our website content according to their preferences.

  • Descriptive Links: Our website's hyperlinks use descriptive text, making their purpose clear even when read out of context.

  • Accessible Forms: Online forms are designed to be accessible and usable by individuals with disabilities. They include appropriate labelling and field grouping for screen reader users.

  • Accessibility Standards: We strive to meet or exceed the standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

  • Australian sign language: Auslan is used at critical points across the website.

  • Compatibility: Our site is compatible with online screen readers.


Accessibility Menu

Our accessibility menu is enabled by clicking the AccessiBe menu icon (a white figure in a black circle) at the bottom right of the page. After clicking the accessibility menu, please wait for it to load. The menu offers many access options, including font size, colour, and button highlighting.

Website Accessibility Audit

As part of our AccessiBe subscription, Jump Left’s website is audited monthly for its accessibility. This audit is an essential part of the AccessiBe service helping us keep our website accessible and compliant with the ADA. 2024 Scan results for jumpleft.com.au reveal our website is in the top 3% of inclusive, accessible websites globally. You can view the assessment summary here.

To our knowledge, our Accessibility Policy adheres to current laws, standards, and best practices. We are committed to continuous improvement and will regularly review this policy and our progress and make necessary updates to meet (and strive to better) evolving accessibility standards and guidelines.

Feedback

We take continuous improvement seriously and will consider any feedback as we regularly evaluate how to accommodate people who engage with us and our accessibility policies. We constantly improve website accessibility and services. Our collective moral obligation is to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use for those with disabilities and access requirements. Despite our best efforts to make content accessible, some content may not yet be adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. We view accessibility as a continual work in progress.
